UK Indefinite resident permit rules
This is just a warning to anybody who holds a UK Indefinite resident permit, the reason this visa is given is because you are suppost to be residing in the UK with your UK partner and it is not there to allow you to be able to stay our of the UK for long periods of time.
It must be noted that if you spend 2 years or more out of the UK in one period then the UK residence permit that you have will be automatically cancelled and you will not be allowed to return to the UK on that permit because in the eyes of the UK immigration you have not settled as expected.
So be careful that you do not stay out of the UK for 2 years or face starting the whole process again including the UK Settlement visa.
